BJP candidate G.S. Manjunath has declared assets worth Rs. 5.5 crore Chitradurga: According to affidavits filed by Congress candidate G.H. Tippareddy and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate G.S. Manjunath here on Monday, the former has property worth Rs. 6.3 crore, while Mr. Manjunath has assets worth Rs. 5.5 crore. Mr. Tippareddy has Rs. 1.56 lakh in cash, while his wife has Rs. 3.09 lakh. He also has accounts in three banks with deposits totalling Rs. 43 lakh. He also has insurance policies and other investments worth Rs. 19 lakh. He does not own a car while his wife has a Maruti Swift. Mr. Tippareddy has agricultural land worth Rs. 40 lakh in various places in Chitradurga district. His wife has farmland worth Rs. 59 lakh. His son owns land valued at Rs. 4.8 lakh. Mr. Tippareddy also has commercial property worth Rs. 75 lakh in Chitradurga and Bangalore. SharesHe owns 30 per cent of the shares in Jailakshmi Textiles, accounting for Rs. 2.25 crore. He also has shares in various other industries amounting to Rs. 12 lakh. Mr. Tippareddy has liabilities amounting to Rs. 3.79 lakh. Mr. Manjunath has only Rs. 60,000 in cash, while his wife has Rs. 15,000 in her name. In his name, he has savings worth Rs. 2.01 lakh, and in his wife’s name Rs. 30,000. The worth of the jewellery he and his wife own is Rs. 2.5 lakh. He has made investments in various industries amounting to Rs. 92 lakh, while his wife has investments worth Rs. 20 lakh. Mr. Manjunath also owns agricultural land worth Rs. 30 lakh, while his wife has property worth Rs. 25 lakh. He also has non-agricultural land worth Rs. 2.9 crore. His wife owns similar land worth Rs. 45 lakh. He also has commercial property, a house and a godown in Bhimasamudra, which are worth Rs. 30 lakh. He owes various banks Rs. 31 lakh.
