10 killed in accidents

MAHABUBNAGAR: At least 10 persons, including two children, were killed and several others injured in two different road accidents in Wanaparthy Revenue Division in the district on Wednesday.

Five persons died when a private travels bus and lorry collided head on near Kommireddy pally village in Addakal Mandal on National High way -7 on Wednesday. According to information reaching here, a Volvo bus (Sindu Travels) proceeding to Hyderabad from Tirupati collided head on with a lorry coming in opposite direction around 7 a.m. resulting in instantaneous death of 3 persons. While two passengers died in the hospital, the injured were shifted to Area hospital and later to Mahabubnagar headquarters hospital. The deceased were identified as Rambabu (63), Nagaraju (65) both drivers of private bus. Passengers Vishnu Vardhan Reddy (45), Subba Reddy (40) of Rajampet town and lorry driver Ranganna (35).

Children among victims

Five persons, including two children, were killed when the tractor trolly in which they were travelling plunged into a canal under construction. According to reports a marriage party from Kancharavu pally started to Kethireddy pally in Pangal mandal in the vehicle late Tuesday night.
