Good knock by Lijoe

Nagercoil: Lijoe’s half century helped Packer Cricket Club defeat Packer Colts Cricket Club by 26 runs in the Canara Bank-Kanyakumari District Cricket Association first division league here on Thursday.

The scores:

First division: Packer CC 234 in 38 overs (Arun V. Karol 43, Lijoe 55, Ashwinraj Christus 46) bt Packer Colts CC 208 in 35.3 overs (Jeresh 72, P. Suresh 40, Ashwinraj Christus four for 42).

Second division: Marthandam CC 214 for nine in 30 overs (R. Shajin 58, V.J. Bajan 51, T. Riyaz five for 14) bt Eagles CC 169 in 27.2 overs (Faziam 71); Cosmos CC 105 in 23.3 overs (V. Jegadeesh four for 20) lost to Commandos CC 106 for two in 19.1 overs (M. Satheesh 47 not out).

Royal FC rallies well

Down by four goals till five minutes into the second session, Royal Football Club, Batlagundu, rallied splendidly to force a 4-4 draw against Rock Fort Football Club in the Dindigul DFA Nursery (under-13) league at Dindigul on Friday.
