Saheba denies giving newspaper interview

Mumbai: Umpire Amish Saheba, suspended for two IPL matches for comments attributed to him over the Harbhajan Singh-Sreesanth spat in a Mumbai newspaper, has denied having talked to any reporter on the controversy in his reply to the show-cause notice issued to him by the BCCI.

“(Saheba) has categorically denied giving any kind of interview to the publication in question,” the Board Secretary, Niranjan Shah, said in a media release on Friday. — PTI
