NEW DELHI: A 24-year-old management student allegedly attempted suicide at Shakarpur here on Friday on learning that his institute was not recognised. According to the police, Arunesh Singh learnt from a newspaper report recently that the university the institute was claiming to be affiliated to was a bogus one. A depressed Arunesh then allegedly took sleeping pills on Friday in an attempt to end his life. He has been admitted to Patel Hospital and is out of danger. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
