VILLUPURAM: A host of officials visited Villupuram district on Friday to inspect the implementation of various welfare schemes, including the Anaithu Grama Anna Marumalarchi Thittam and the National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme. Director of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department Gagandeep Singh Bedi, accompanied by Collector Brajendra Navnit, took stock of the scheme implementation at Ginjee and Melmalaiyanur blocks. Heinstructed the officials to verify whether identity cards had been issued to all those who were registered under the rural job scheme.
