Two injured in firing incident

Panchkula: Two boys were injured when a group of about 10-15 unidentified persons allegedly attacked them and opened fire at one of them following some altercation during a late night party which was continuing till wee hours here.

The injured were identified as Harkirat and Harpreet, both residents of Mohali.

They were returning home after attending a dance party in the hotel where the incident took place, police sources said.

The group which allegedly attacked the boys had come in two vehicles bearing Chandigarh registration numbers which could not be read properly due to darkness, but the make of vehicles had been identified, they said.

The boys had some altercation with some members of the group who were already present there.

Both the injured were taken to a private hospital in Mohali. PTI
