Residents of Palaniappa Nagar organised a programme to generate awareness on the

problems caused by plastics. The programme, titled “Eradication of plastics from day-to-day life”, was organised

as part of the annual

day of the Palaniappa Nagar Residents’ Association. The association said City Health Officer M. Thangaraj explained various efforts being made by the Coimbatore Corporation to make the city free of plastics that caused harm to environment. Superintendent of Central Excise and Customs Mohamed Rafic participated.
