Krishna district committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) on Sunday demanded that severe action be taken against the culprits who dishonoured the statue of Puchalapalli Sundaraiah in Nellore town on Saturday. District unit secretary V. Uma Maheswara Rao, in a statement here, said that the incident was a clear example of the deterioration of values and attack on the sentiments of the poor people.
