Vodafone to sell iPhone

NEW DELHI: Leading mobile service provider Vodafone is all set to introduce Apple’s iPhone, the touch-screen phone that comes with Web browser and media player, in India soon.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the company said it had signed an agreement with software products major Apple Inc. to sell ‘iPhone’ in ten nations, including India.

Cuts STD tariff

Vodafone on Tuesday slashed the tariffs for STD to Rs. 1.30 a minute across the country, while roaming charges have been dropped to Re. 1 for all incoming and local outgoing calls.

The new tariffs would come into effect from May 6, a company statement said.
