Valid documents for voting

BANGALORE: Voters may use the following documents while exercising their franchise at polling booths.

Passport; driving license; permanent account number (PAN) card; office identity cards issued to employees of State/Union Government/ Public Sector Undertaking/ local bodies/ private industrial concerns; passbook with photo issued on or before March 31, 2008 by public sector banks/ post offices and Kisan Cards; student identity cards issued on or before October 1, 2007 by registered and recognised educational institutions; deeds/ pattas/ other property related documents that have photographs; ration cards; caste certificates issued on or before March 31, 2008 by competent authorities; freedom fighters’ identity card; pension orders/ ex-servicemen’s pension book/ widow pension orders/ old age pension orders with photographs.

Arms licence with photograph issued on or before March 31, 2008; photo identity card issued on or before March 31, 2008 to disabled by the competent authorities; CSD canteen card with photograph issued to ex-servicemen; photo identity card issued on or before March 31, 2008 under Sandhya Suraksha Project/ NREG/ Yeshaswini scheme.

And, service photo identity cards issued to employees of municipal corporations/ city municipal council/ town municipal council and other urban local bodies; and photo identity cards issued to senior citizens.
