More matriculation schools register 100 per cent pass in Tirunelveli

TIRUNELVELI: Of the 173 higher secondary schools in the district, including 69 government and 56 aided schools, 41 higher secondary schools, including only one government higher secondary school at Burkit Maanagar have registered hundred per cent result in the Plus Two examination results declared on Friday.

Of the 13 schools in Tirunelveli Educational District that registered 100 per cent result, 12 are matriculation higher secondary schools. Similarly, 11 of the 17 higher secondary schools in Cheranmahadevi educational district and seven of the 11 higher secondary schools in Tenkasi Educational District are matriculation schools, which have registered 100 per cent results.

“This statistics has once again categorically proved that teachers working in the matriculation schools for a much lower salary than what is being given to teachers of government or aided schools are working really hard even on holidays to take their children to greater heights,” said the principal of a leading matriculation school at Palayamkottai as the heads of the higher secondary schools were getting the results from the Chief Educational Officer, Narayanasamy.
