DYFI members stage a novel protest

Tuticorin: Members of Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) staged a novel demonstration here on Friday.

They urged the authorities concerned to inaugurate a building established for head post office along the Tuticorin-Tiruchendur highway soon.

The agitators alleged that though the department constructed the building on an outlay of Rs. one crore eight months ago, the postal authorities here were not showing any interest to shift from the rented premises to the newly constructed building.

The DYFI men performed a ‘puja’ in front of the new building as a mark of their protest.
