Mother “throws” child from fourth floor

Mumbai: A four-year-old boy died after being allegedly thrown from the fourth floor of a Mumbai building by his mother. Police said she was under the influence of alcohol.

Hrishikesh Fulli (4) was picked up by his mother Dyanada (23) late on Thursday night after a heated argument with her husband and taken to the fourth floor of their building in Worli.

“Anita was under the influence of alcohol and threw the kid from the fourth floor. Hrishikesh was taken to a nearby hospital here he succumbed on Saturday,” said a senior officer.

Police had earlier registered a case of accidental fall. But after Hrishikesh’s death, his aunt came forward and lodged a complaint on Saturday. — PTI
