Making science interesting for students

CHENNAI: Butterfly Fields, an initiative by alumni of the IIT and IIM-Ahmedabad, aims to explore the world of science through a hands-on approach.

The group has been involved in conducting workshops for children, teaching them innovative ways to make science more fun to learn.

A series of such workshops are to be held in Chennai later this month.

Different models

A team will help the participating children build different models and demonstrate the same, involving interesting science concepts.

This whole experience is to enjoy science as it is and understand the intricacies in a practical way.

The workshop aims to help children to comprehend science in everyday life, making it easier for them to understand abstract concepts and discover their applications, a press release said.
