Afghan Hound corners glory

Udhagamandalam: An Afghan hound CH.Karakush in Champagne owned by P.V.Vijayakumaran was declared the best in show at 100th Championship Dog Show of the South of India Kennel Club (SIKC) held here on Sunday. The second best in show was a Siberian husky bitch CH. Spiritsound’s Northern Dancer owned by S.Pathy.

The prize for the third best in show went to a Kerry Blue Terrier TH. Grand.CH.Torums Electric Bill owned by C.S.Sanjay and P.S.Saipin. The Afghan Hound CH.Karakush in Champaign also bagged the best in show prize in the 101st show of the SIKC.

It was followed by a German Shepherd Kingsway’s Mika owned by Kapil Krishnamurthy. The third best in show was a boxer C H. Lazy Nine’s Crimson and Chrome owned by Edwin Manohara and A.Stephen.

A Fox terrier (smooth) TH.Grand.CH.Torums Electric Bill owned by C.S.Sanjay and P.Saipin bagged the prize for the best in show in the 82nd Championship Dog Show of the Madras Canine Club held here on Saturday.

The second best in show was a German Shepherd CH.Sandy Vom Starkenburg owned by Sanjay Desai.

The prize for the third best in show went to a Shih Tzu TH.Grand.Am.Can.CH. Hearty’s Melody Easy Contro owned by Vetri Duraisamy and Papitchaya Sukonno.

The prize for the best in show bred in India was won by an Irish Setter Fleetwood’s Symphony in Red owned by N.Reguraj.

A poodle Splendid’s New Addition owned by Vetri Duraisamy walked away with the prize for the best puppy in show.

In the 83rd Championship Dog Show also the Fox terrier TH.Grand.CH.Torums Electric Bill bagged the first prize.

The second best in show was a Maltese TH.CH.Lapitthi’s Tiger Tank owned by Vetri Duraisamy.

The third best was a boxer Am.Can.Mex.CH.Lucas De La Garza owned by Agrani Kennels. The best in show bred in India was a Whippet Kingsways Magic Million’s Mystique Beauty owned by C.V.Sudarshan.

The best puppy in show was a German Shepherd Rioburg’s Puma owned by J.Dhanashekar. While Alex Yu-Feng Zee of Taiwan was the judge for the 82nd show the judge for the 83rd show was Larry Yuen of Malaysia.
