KARAIKAL: Kendriya Vidyalaya is likely to be established in Karaikal , according to A. M. H. Nazeem, MLA and Leader of Opposition in Puducherry Assembly. Mr. Nazeem said on Monday that the people of Karaikal had been demanding a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Karaikal as several establishments like Oil and Natural Gas Corporation were functioning in the region. He pointed out that he had represented to the Puducherry Government in this regard. A team from Kendriya Vidyalaya Committee that inspected Karaikal region recently had asked for a 10-acre site to start the school at Koilpathu. He pointed out that the school could be started immediately if the Puducherry Government provided 10 acres of land. He pointed out that Chief Minister N.
