Krithika in sole lead

Namakkal: Former Asian under-12 champion, Pon. N. Krithika of Kancheepuram, with four points, took the sole lead in the girls’ section after the fourth round in the 19th Tamil Nadu State under-17 chess championship for the Arasan Fireworks Trophy at the SKV MHSS here on Monday.

S.V. Sathya Priya (Salem) and J. Saranya (Thiruvallur) trail the leader by half a point.

In the open category, State junior champion, R.A. Pradeep Kumar, J. Arun (from Chennai) and M. Muthu Alagappan (Thiruvallur) are in joint lead with four points apiece.

S. Sandeep slammed yet another unbeaten century as Colts Cricket Club scored a comfortable 192-run win over Wonder XI Cricket Club in the Canara Bank-NDCA first division league for the M.A. Chidambaram Rolling Trophy at the HPF grounds at Udhagamandalam on Sunday.
