Elephants destroy banana, coconut trees

ERODE: A herd of elephants, which strayed from the Bhavani Sagar forest range into nearby villages here, destroyed 600 banana trees and coconut trees in Kottai Thottam and Hodepalayam areas.

Forest Department officials are trying to send the elephants back into the wild.
