Girl drowns

THRISSUR: A girl drowned in a pond near her house at Koonammoochi near Guruvayur on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Jini, 15, a student of Mattom Girls High School. The police said she slipped into the pond while taking bath. The body was fished out by the Fire and Rescue Services personnel.
