Vishal, Jerome do well

CHENNAI: Half-centuries from U. Vishal and A. Jerome powered Combined Districts to a 64-run win in the Dicky memorial under-13 cricket tournament here on Tuesday.

The scores: Abdul Jabbar CA 164 for seven in 30 overs (Gopinath 36, Akshay Kumar 31, M. Affan Khader three for 33, Darryl S. Ferrario three for 39) lost to CSSF ‘A’ 168 for three in 26.5 overs (M. Prasanna 35, T. Sivaprakash 52 n.o.).

Combined Districts 218 for three in 30 overs (C. Harinishanth 53, U. Vishal 69, A. Jerome 55 n.o.) bt CSSF ‘B’ 154 for six in 30 overs (M. Dinesh 37, Danush Kumar 44).

Kedar CA 114 in 26 overs (Ajit Varma 27) bt VBCA 107 in 28.5 overs (P. Ajit three for 22, Vignesh Sridhar three for 16).

LMCA 109 in 30 overs lost to FSCA 110 for two in 13.4 overs (G. Karthik 65).

Under-13 tournament

Twenty academies will feature in the Prahlad Cricket Academy’s under-13 tournament to be held from May 14 to 23. The tournament is co-sponsored by the KRP Group of Educational Institutions, Sankari-West, Nammakal district.

Participating teams: Asiatic CA, Prahlad CA ‘A’, FSCA, Prahlad CA ‘B’, Kedar CA, CSSF, J.S. Rao CA, Sanjeevi CA, Little Hearts CA, Pace CA, Kanniah CA, Abdul Jabbar CA.

U-15 tri-series

Reddy’s Cricket Academy will conduct an under-15 tri-series tournament at Selaiyur. The teams are Kennedy High the Global School (Hyderabad), Gurukul Academy and Tambaram and Reddy’s Academy. The final will be held on May 17.
