End dynastic politics: Lok Satta

Correspondent

VIZIANAGARAM: “People who are being cheated by the two political parties require a political platform to fight the set-up, and Lok Satta Party is providing it,” says Jayaprakash Narayan, founder of the party.

At a press conference here on Wednesday, Dr. Jayaprakash, who was on his way to the Therlam Assembly constituency for campaigning on behalf of his candidate Reddi Lakshmi Naidu, criticised the Congress and the TDP for remaining evasive on supply of liquor to voters in the by-elections. He appealed to them for an assurance in this regard. He said the party that was responsible for promoting belt shops during its rule was now crying hoarse on the flow of liquor. “The Lok Satta Party has jumped into the fray to put an end to MLA Raj, bring about changes in the system and transform people who have been neglected by successive governments to assert their rights,” he added.

He said a political novice and educated youth hailing from a poor farmer’s family had been chosen for the Therlam seat with an intention to fight the “dynastic politics.” B.A. Babji, party district president and I. Anantha Lakshmi, convenor of north-Andhra districts, were present.
