Applications invited for training

Bangalore: The Women Industrial Training Centre (ITI), Banashankari III Stage, has invited applications from residents of Bangalore Urban District for training in electronic mechanic, consumer electronics, electrician, interior decoration and designing, dress making, and information technology and electronic systems maintenance.

Interested persons may obtain applications from No. 16, Government Industrial Training Centre, Muneshwara Nagar, Kerekodi Road, Hoskere Halli and submit the same before June 13, according to a release.

No sale of meat

The slaughtering of animals and sale of meet has been prohibited on May 19 on account of Buddha Poornima. Slaughter is permitted up to 8 a.m. of May 18.

Workshop

The Jawaharlal Nehru Planetarium has organised a five-day workshop on introduction to Astronomy for general public from May 20.
