Maintenance work on statue from June 4

CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) has proposed to complete the maintenance work of the Thiruvalluvar statue in Kanyakumari over four month period from June 4. According to TTDC managing director M. Rajaram, it has been decided not to allow tourists near the statue till October 16. — Special Correspondent
