Sriramulu ‘hiding’ in A.P.

BANGALORE: The former Tourism Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party candidate in Bellary Assembly constituency (Reserved), B. Sriramulu, is believed “to be hiding” in Andhra Pradesh. This follows an alleged case of assault on a Congress worker and supporter of the Congress candidate, Anil Lad, in Bellary city on Thursday.

Addressing presspersons here, Chief Electoral Officer M.N. Vidyashankar said the Bellary District Police have issued an arrest warrant under Section 307 of the IPC against Mr. Sriramulu. .

Team meets Thakur

A high-level Congress delegation called on Karnataka Governor Rameshwar Thakur and demanded the arrest of Mr. Sriramulu.
