Philippines Navy chief arrives

VISAKHAPATNAM: Vice Admiral Rogelio Calunsag, the Flag Officer-in-Command of the Philippines Navy accompanied by his wife Imelda arrived at the Easten Naval Command (ENC) here on Wednesday. He was received at the Naval Air Station INS Dega by Rear Admiral Raman Prabhat, the Chief Staff Officer (Technical), ENC.

Vice Admiral Calunsag’s visit underscores the warm and friendly ties between the Indian Navy and the Philippines Navy, according to an ENC press release. Apart from visits, there are regular bilateral interactions between the two navies. He visited the ENC Headquarters and held discussions with Rear Admiral R.K. Dhowan, the Chief of Staff, ENC, on issues of mutual interest. He also visited the Naval Dockyard and INS Kora.
