Life-long pension

JAMMU: The Daily Excelsior has decided to pay a life-long pension of Rs.10,000 per month to the widow of its photographer Ashok Sodhi who was killed in a cross-fire between security forces and militants in Samba this past Sunday.

Sodhi had worked as a photographer with the Srinagar-based daily for more than 20 years. He was struck by a bullet while doing live coverage of a gun battle. – PTI
