NEW DELHI: Pakistan has agreed to probe the firing on an Indian Army post at Tangdhar in Jammu and Kashmir, following a flag meeting at the Line of Control on Thursday, sources in the Army said. At the battalion commander-level meeting, the Pakistan army authorities initially denied any ceasefire violation. But after a verbal compliant and display of photographs of bullet marks on the Indian Army post, the Pakistan officials promised an investigation. The Pakistan army was said to have fired 70 to 80 light machine gun rounds at the post. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
