Programme is organised to promote IPR activities in Salem region Those interested can contact 0422 – 6475544 / 6475599 / 94428-62338 COIMBATORE: Centre for Intellectual Property Rights, Anna University, Coimbatore, and Controller of Patents, Designs and Trademarks, Chennai, will organise a national workshop on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Awareness at Sona College of Technology, Salem, on May 23 and 24. According to a release from the university, the programme is organised to promote IPR activities in Salem region. Students, faculty, scientists, freelance innovators, industrialists and representatives from small and medium scale organisations are expected to attend. The university aspires to encourage the study of Intellectual Property Rights in engineering colleges and other institutions of higher educations, create public awareness about copyright and IPR among public and academic community, and organise workshops on copyright and IPR in colleges for benefit of students.
