Now CA pitches in for IPL-like T20

Melbourne: Lured by the success of the Indian Premier League, Cricket Australia has started the ground work for staging its own version of the Twenty20 tournament within two to three years.

The CA would retain some facets of the $2 billion rich IPL but also bring in some fresh ideas in the tournament, which may be spanning over three to four weeks. The competition is likely to be staged during the Australian summer. — PTI
