TIRUNELVELI: Security at the Kasi Viswanatha Swamy temple at Tenkasi has been beefed up following a threatening phone call. Police sources said the anonymous call to the Tenkasi police station warned: “Save the temple if you can.” A police team, led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Mayilvaahanan, went to the temple immediately and checked in vain for explosives. Letter A letter recovered by the police from the District Collectorate premises warned that Melapalayam-based supporters of banned outfits were planning to launch an attack on political leaders and public places.
