EPICs to be issued by May 21

HYDERABAD: District Election Officer and GHMC Commissioner C.V.S.K. Sarma has instructed officials to complete distribution of electoral photo identity cards (EPICs) in all respects on or before May 21.

He claims that all arrangements have been made for the distribution of EPICs to electors of Musheerabad, Secunderabad and Khairatabad assembly constituencies and 11.92 lakh cards are to be distributed. Respective electoral registration officers have been asked to go for door-to-door distribution.

About 1, 72,457 EPICs are to be issued in Musheerabad, 1, 96,232 in Secunderabad and 8, 23,869 in Khairatabad. The DEO has also announced that in addition to the designated electoral registration officers, zonal additional commissioners too have been entrusted with the task of monitoring the distribution.

Zonal Commissioner (South) B. Subrahmanya Reddy and Zonal Commissioner (East) Rajesham will look after Khairatabad area, Additional Commissioner (Legal) Venkateswara Rao is in charge of Secunderabad and Joint Commissioner (Admn.) Sri Sai Kumar for Musheerabad.

Observers

The Returning Officer of Secunderabad Assembly constituency, D.C. Bheema Naik, has informed voters of the constituency that S.O. Sonavane (ph.9959442122), General Observer, and Debjyoti Bhattacharya (ph.9963373578), Expenditure Observer, have been appointed by the Election Commission.
