NEW DELHI: Gagan Narang finished eighth in a strong field of 107 in the men’s air rifle event at the shooting World Cup in Munich on Saturday. Gagan shot a 596 in the preliminary phase with a series of 99, 99, 99, 100, 99 and 100. While world champion Abhinav Bindra was 20th with a 594 following an impressive sequence of 98, 98, 99, 99, 100, 100, the third member of the Indian contingent P.T. Raghunath did well to take the 16th place with a 595. The Indian women had a relatively disappointing fare as Anjali Bhagwat finished 23rd with 395. She had scores of 99, 98, 99 and 99.
