THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Rynold Timothy retained the men’s singles title in the Sree Chitra State tennis championship at the TTC courts here on Monday. In the final, Timothy breezed past Binu Mani 6-2, 6-2. He also took the doubles title along with K. Sankar. The duo beat Binu and Binoj Mani 6-2, 7-5 in the final. Parvathy Vijayan took the women’s title with a 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 win over Neha S. Nair in the final. Parvathy also won the under-18 singles title after defeating Bhavya Shah 6-2, 4-6, 6-3 in the final.
