Girijans hold demonstration

A group of people from Anantagiri in Visakha Agency area held a demonstration in front of the Collectorate on Monday demanding the district administration to put an end to illegal quarrying of sand by non-Girijans at Venkayyapalem, Kothavalasa, Orudupaddu and Jeelugupaadu in Chilakalagedda in Anantagiri mandal. The Girijana Sangham, which organised the protest, alleged that the local MLA was encouraging illegal quarrying.
