Asiatic CA wins

Chennai: Asiatic Cricket Academy defeated Reddy’s CA by nine runs in the final to win the Reddy’s under-12 cricket league. S. Swaminathan of Asiatic CA was named Man-of-the-Final for his unbeaten 41 and two wickets for 31 runs. He was also named the tournament’s ‘best all-rounder.’

Syed Imran Ahmed (Reddy’s CA) was the ‘best batsman,’ while N. Akshay (Asiatic CA) was the ‘best fielder.’ K.R. Anand (Reddy CA’s) was named the ‘promising player.’

The scores (final): Asiatic CA 106 for four in 25 overs (S. Swaminathan 41 n.o., K. Dinesh Kumar 20, Syed Imran Ahmed two for 25) bt Reddy CA 97 for seven in 25 overs (K.R. Anand 21, Shiv Shankar 24, R. Varun 20 n.o., K. Rahul three for 14, S. Swaminathan two for 31).
