Badminton tournament

Coimbatore: Around 300 boys and girls from all over Tamil Nadu will take part in the Aircel State-ranking junior badminton tournament, organised by the Coimbatore District Badminton Association, at the Officers Club and DéjÀ vu Club courts here from May 27 to 31.

The tournament, held for the under-10, 13, 16 and 19 categories, will have both singles and doubles.

P.T. Harshath, S. Archana, Aditi Anand, R. Hamsica (all Coimbatore), Karan Rajan and M.R. Manikandan (both Chennai), Poun Sharath and S. Dharshini (both Virudhunagar), A. Aswin (Salem) and Amreen (Vellore) are some of the top players who have confirmed their participation. — Sports Reporter
