MAHABUBNAGAR: The mood among workers and leaders of the Telugu Desam Party is upbeat what with impressive turnouts to the road shows addressed by the TDP chief N.Chandrababu Naidu on Monday night in four mandal headquarters under Jadcherla, the lone Assembly constituency going for by polls in the district.

The crowds responded with loud cheers whenever Chandrababu Naidu criticised Congress and the TRS. The crowd, many of them women and youth, waited patiently for more than two hours in hot sun. The TDP president arrived around 5:30 p.m. at Balanagar mandal headquarters from Hyderabad though he was scheduled to reach at 3 p.m.

The audience received with applause and claps when Chandrababu Naidu demanded the resignation of YSR government for failing to check the increase in prices of various commodities.

He described the YSR government as real estate broker and land grabberwhile referring to the injustice met to the farmers of Polepally Speical Economic Zone (SEZ) in Jadcherla Assembly constituency. He promised that until all the assurances given were fulfilled, he will not take rest. He also said that he was making only possible assurances and which can be fulfilled.

TDP President informed that determined efforts will be made for eradication of poverty from the State if his party voted to power in the next general elections. Amidst cheers TDP president announced various schemes to be implemented for the welfare of the poor and developmental programmes for the backward areas. He showered many sops for the development of backward district of Mahabubnagar.

Launching a tirade against TRS Mr. Naidu said that TRS has no right to ask votes in the byelection. It never fought on the issues of Telangana such as Babli project construction, RDS project, increasing prices of various commodities and other problems.

TDLP deputy leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy, TDP candidate from Jadcherla assembly constituency M.Chandra Sekhar, former minister P. Chandra Sekhar former MP from Mahabubnagar A.P. Jitender Reddy and scores of party leaders were also present.
