HEROES’ TOUCH: Suriya and Aamir sporting the Ghajini looks. CHENNAI: Actor Aamir Khan, who is recovering from an injury, will soon resume shooting for his current project — the remake of ‘Ghajini.’ “We hope to launch the film by October,” director A.R. Murugadoss told The Hindu on Tuesday. Actor Aamir Khan, known for his dedication, shaved his head for the film. To him, this film would mean a lot, considering that it follows his massive hit, ‘Taare Zameen Par.’ After playing the lovable, understanding teacher, he now plays someone with short-term memory loss, the character that won actor Suriya great admiration among fans. Actor Asin plays the female lead in the Hindi version, too. With A.R. Rahman scoring music for the remake, the director, who originally planned to have just one melody number, has included another one. A few scenes have been mildly modified and enhanced visually to add power and feel to the script. After Aamir’s fan base having grew significantly post-‘Taare Zameen Par,’ Tamil film buffs would be as eager to watch this film, as their counterparts in Bollywood would be. © Copyright 2000 - 2009 The Hindu |
