A nine-year-old boy was drowned in the ‘Pushkarini’ at Simhachalam on Tuesday.

Dakamarri Sanyasi Rao of Paradesipalem went to the tank along with his family members. The boy went missing even as the family members were involved in cooking near the tank around 3 p.m. The body was found floating in the tank around 6 p.m.

The Gopalapatnam police are investigating the case.
