Barred from contesting polls

The Election Commission has barred 35 candidates who had contested municipal elections in 2005 from Mangalagiri and Sattenapali from contesting the local municipality and the urban local bodies elections for three years. The orders were sent on Tuesday by Secretary of the State Election Commission G.M. Ramesh, according to a press release .
