Two EVMs to be used in Jadcherla constituency

MAHABUBNAGAR: Two electronic voting machines will be used in Jadcherla Assembly constituency bypolls since there were 25 candidates in the fray, said district Collector and District Election Officer V. Usharani.

Speaking to press persons here on Wednesday, she said the first EVM would consist of names and symbols of candidates numbering 1 to 16 and second from 17 to 25.

She said to check the flow of liquor in the district so far 111 cases were booked and 32 persons were taken into custody. She said toddy and wine shops would be closed from 5 p.m. on May 27 to 29 and again on the counting day.
