Businessman’s son abducted for ransom

Latehar (Jharkhand): The 23-year-old son of a stone crusher mill owner Malhotra was abducted at gunpoint on Thursday at Barwadih in Maoist-affected Latehar district of Jharkhand.

Superintendent of Police R.K. Dhan said the youth was abducted for extortion of money.

The abductors came in a car and took him away and the family had been receiving calls for money. — PTI
