Bypolls: TRS spends maximum in Adilabad

ADILABAD: The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) candidate in the byelection to Adilabad Lok Sabha constituency is much ahead in terms of expenditure over his Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and Congress rivals. He is also the most prompt among the lot in filing expenditure returns.

TRS candidate T. Madhusudhan Reddy has submitted expenditure account for Rs. 4.58 lakhs until May 21.

TDP’s S. Venugopalachary has spent only about Rs. 2 lakhs until May 20 while the Congress candidate A. Indrakaran Reddy has spent about Rs. 97,000 as on May 16.

The expenditure of Prabhakar Dongre an independent is also about Rs. 94,000 as he filed returns until May 20. There are four other independents who have spent hardly anything over the Rs. 10,000 each as nomination deposit.
