Killing leads to tension

ELURU: Killing of a minor girl in a road accident at Vijayarai in Pedavegi mandal of West Godavari district led to tension on Saturday, leading to an assault on a Telugu Desam leader.

According to police, an angry mob smashed the windowpanes of a car and assaulted Talluri Sambhasiva Reddy of the TDP from Chintalapudi area, holding him responsible for the accident. The villagers also staged a ‘rasta-roko’ along with the dead body.
