Naxalite supporter arrested

Hosur: The Q Branch police on Friday arrested a naxalite supporter at Denkanikottai near here. Acting on a tip-off, the police arrested Minor Cruise (45) in the Denkanikottai forests. He was wanted in several cases including the murder of Thally union chairman, Venkatesan, on May 8, 2002.

He was produced before the POTA special court in Poonamallee. Further investigations are on. — Staff Reporter
