IOB in final

Nagercoil: Indian Overseas Bank, Chennai entered the men’s final of the all-India Invitation volleyball tournament organised by Kanyakumari District Volleyball Association, defeating Cochin Port Trust 25-20, 25-22, 22-25, 25-20 at Anna stadium, Nagercoil on Saturday.

IOB will meet in the final Southern Railway, Chennai, which beat Integral Coach Factory, Chennai 25-18, 25-21, 25-18 in the other semi-final.

Assumption College, Chenganacherry, beat PSGR Krishnammal College, Coimbatore 25-6, 25-16, 25-19 for its second win in the three-team women’s league. Assumption College with two wins, as the first team, and Lotus Volleyball Club, Thadagam, which registered only one win against PSGR Krishnammal College, as the second team, will clash for the women’s title match.
