KOCHI: Spinner Salmon Sebastian’s seven-wicket haul helped Central Zone defeat North Zone by four wickets in the final State under-16 inter-zone cricket championship three-dayer at the St. Paul’s College Ground (Kalamassery) on Monday. South Zone won the title in the three-team league event, while Central finished runner-up. The scores: North 159 & 154 (Saly V. Samson 46, Salmon Sebastian seven for 43) lost to Central 86 and 231 for six (Mahin C. Majeed 63, C.A. Mathew 55). State u-13 chessThe State under-13 chess championship, for boys and girls, will be held at the Kollam YMCA from May 30 to June 1.
