NEW DELHI: Vaibhav Suri topped a three-way tie at 6.5 points to win the boys’ title in the Delhi state (under-15) chess championship at the K.R. Mangalam School here. Suri, Vaibhav Khanna and Anirudh Singh Negi tied for honours but finished in that order after their progressive score was considered to break the tie. Among the girls, Arunima Kalra won all four rounds to take the title. Madhurima Shekhar and Pooja Joshi scored three points each to make the medal-bracket. The standings: Boys: 1-3: Vaibhav Suri, Vaibhav Khanna, Anirudh Singh Negi (6.5 points each); 4-5: Ram Gupta and Rishi Thariani (6 each); 6-7: Akshat Aggarwal, Harshal Shahi (5.5 each); 8-10: Vinayak Seth, Rishabh Jain and Deep Kapoor (5 each). Girls: 1. Arunima Kalra (4 points), 2-3: Madhurima Shekhar, Pooja Joshi (3 each); 4.
