PU lecturer makes it to IAS

BANGALORE: Deepa M., a lecturer in Seshadripuram Pre-University College, Bangalore, was on top of the world when she said, “I always desired to work for my people. Today, I am happy that I took the correct decision.”

She secured the 149th rank and got selected to the country’s prestigious Indian Administrative Services this year.

Ms. Deepa, daughter of A.S. Murthy, social worker, made it to the IAS in her third attempt.

“As a career choice, my decision is not surprising; the IAS provides a competitive and challenging work environment. I will discharge my responsibilities sincerely,” Ms. Deepa said.
